Lagoon Perimeter Tiling in Iowa

Agricultural lagoons and holding basins need perimeter drainage to control seepage, manage groundwater, and keep the berm stable. We install perimeter tile around lagoons that intercepts seepage before it undermines the structure or saturates the surrounding ground.

Robinson Service Inc · since 1966

Without perimeter tiling, a lagoon's seepage can raise the local water table, weaken the berm, and create wet ground around the basin that's impossible to maintain. A properly placed perimeter tile collects that water and carries it to a monitored outlet.

We trench the perimeter at the right offset and depth, lay tile on grade, and tie the system into a discharge point that lets you see and manage what's coming out. On new lagoon construction we coordinate with the berm work so the tile goes in at exactly the right stage.

This is specialized agricultural drainage work, and it's the kind of job where three generations of experience with Iowa ground pays off — we know how the soil around a lagoon behaves and where the tile needs to sit to do its job. We install lagoon perimeter tiling for livestock operations and municipalities across Delaware County and Eastern Iowa.
